ABOUT LATOYA TAPSCOTT
With 17+ years of experience in the association and nonprofit sector, I bring a strategic, systems-level approach to building high-value membership communities and enterprise initiatives that drive engagement, relevance, and long-term sustainability.I currently serve as Senior Director and Global Head of the HBA Think Tank at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), where I lead the strategy, growth, and execution of a global, membership-based platform focused on advancing leadership, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness across the healthcare ecosystem. In this role, I oversee the design and delivery of research initiatives, member programs, and partnership models that create tangible value for organizations and professionals at every stage of their journey.My work centers on strengthening membership value propositions, developing scalable engagement models, and aligning programs with organizational priorities. This includes building tiered membership structures, launching insight-driven products and experiences, and creating opportunities for meaningful connection through convenings, research, and peer learning. I partner closely with internal teams, member organizations, and external collaborators to ensure that strategy, operations, and member experience are tightly aligned.Throughout my career, I have led cross-functional teams, managed complex stakeholder ecosystems, and supported volunteer leaders and partners in translating vision into action. I am known for my ability to connect strategy to execution, balance innovation with operational rigor, and build trusted relationships that advance both mission and organizational performance.I am a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and remain deeply committed to strengthening the role of associations as platforms for leadership development, collaboration, and long-term impact.
