   Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures. Pay, or arrange for payment of, taxes and duties on shipments. Stay abreast of changes in import or export laws or regulations by reading current literature, attending meetings or conferences, or conferring with colleagues. Advise customers on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas, or other customs-related matters. Monitor or trace the location of goods. Arrange for transportation, warehousing, or product distribution of imported or exported products. Plan, schedule, and confirm delivery of cargo. Ensure documentation is accurately processed and released to agents, carriers, warehouses, draymen, and customers in a timely manner including release orders and pick-up umbers. Schedule Customs and FDA exams for shipments flagged for further review. Process payments, original bill of ladings, and telex releases for freight release of shipments.
