I am working as a key member of the Data Governance Team to develop the Council’s data quality approach and unlock the values from the data we hold. I am responsible for analysing and assuring the quality of the Council’s data by monitoring and improving the quality of data in our database.I am working closely with service areas to catalogue data across directorates, define data quality rules and regularly assess data quality.My responsibilities also includes but not limited to supporting services to design and deliver data quality action plans, tracing data quality issues back to their root cause and working with various Council teams to resolve issues at source.My Data Quality approach will promote good practice in data management, an effective data quality culture in services and improve the design of databases and systems ensuring we have clean, standardised data on which to base our most significant business decisions.
