LaTanya Buggs is Vice President of the Potomac Region for the Fiber Engineering & Operations (FE & O) team leading over hard-working and dedicated employees. Her team assumes responsibility for building and operating the voice, broadband and network serving Verizon’s consumer and business customers in the states of Delaware, Western Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC. With additional maintenance of Fios and Core networks that connect millions of our customers. LaTanya previously served as the Outside Plant Engineering Director for the Mid-Atlantic South region. Her organization spearheaded planning, designing and provisioning Verizon\'s access networks for Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.LaTanya has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout her 20+ years with Verizon. Starting her career as a Specialist for the National Operations Support team, LaTanya’s extensive knowledge and adaptability prompted her leadership roles. Her experience as an Area Manager on FIOS & CORE installation teams, Area Operations Manager leading the construction of fiber-optic / copper splicing and the FIOS Build Program, and Director of Network Operations overseeing Southern New Jersey responsible for the construction, installation and maintenance of outside plant facilities add to her stature in Verizon. While LaTanya is not only a leader in the office, she is a leader in the community. As a Women of the World program graduate, where inspiration meets determination, LaTanya is helping to change the game and challenge you to grow, elevate and evolve. She is also an active member in the community mentoring the Trinity Lutheran youth fellowship, as well as a member of Bright Beginnings School advisory Council. LaTanya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master degree in Business Administration. She has two young girls, Madison and McKenzie, currently residing in Maryland.
