ABOUT THIEP
I’m Lat Thiep, a Computer Science student at Saint Martin’s University. I’m passionate about building impactful solutions that bridge creativity and technology, and I enjoy working with others to craft software that feels seamless, thoughtful, and genuinely useful. I’m naturally curious, so I’m always exploring new tools and techniques to level up how I design, build, and ship.Recently, outside of classes and work-related projects, I’ve been intentionally experimenting with the scope of what I can create, ranging from AI-based tools and Chrome extensions to web applications and small product ideas. I like moving from idea to implementation, and I care about the details: clean interfaces, solid architecture, and code that is maintainable. What I enjoy most is taking a messy problem and turning it into a clear system. That usually means clarifying requirements, breaking the problem down, designing the data model, building APIs, implementing features, and iterating based on real feedback. I’m especially interested in full-stack and backend work, and I enjoy building around API development and integration.Core languages and tools: Java, Python, C++, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL; React, Next.js, Node.js, Express.js, Fast API, Spring Boot.NET; AWS, Azure, Docker, Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps; PostgreSQL, MongoDB.I’m open to new grad Software Engineering roles in the full-stack or backend space. If you are hiring or open to connecting, feel free to message me. To see what I’m learning and building (plus topics that catch my interest), you can check out my blog and site at
