As the Associate Vice President of Communications, I develop and lead the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas’ communications strategic efforts to foster community, enhance the organization\'s brand, and oversee media relations for the association. • Develop the Association\'s communications plan and strategy with the support of the VP/Chief Brand Officer, focusing on image, positioning, external and internal analyses, and effective implementation.• Oversee the development and direction of the Association\'s comprehensive communications strategy, covering storytelling, media relations, social media, and internal/external email strategies.• Provide visionary leadership to communications efforts, integrating essential digital elements• Play a pivotal role in planning/executing major YMCA events and initiate opportunities for innovation and optimal exposure.• Lead Virtual YMCA as its Director, collaborating closely with executive leaders and staff to maximize resources and awareness.• Build and maintain relationships with PR firms and media outlets while providing opportunities to enhance external partnerships.

ABOUT SHAE LEONARD
La Shae Leonard is currently the Associate Vice of Communications for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. She oversees digital media, email communications, content creation, manages events and communications for various initiatives. She establishes and executes the association-wide strategy, helping execute campaigns, content creation, website design, supporting association and branch projects, initiatives, and training various teams. She serves on the National Steering Committee for the Emerging Leaders Resource Network and as a local steering committee member for the Emerging Leaders Resource Network. She thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about digitally advancing the brand and presence of the YMCA. La Shae holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas in Radio, Television and Film and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Walden University.
