My journey began in South Africa, fueled by a deep-seated belief that design has the power to change lives. As a first-generation university student, I took a leap of faith at 18, leaving my entire family, country and culture behind to pursue a dual Master\'s degree in Architecture and Sustainable Real Estate Development at Tulane University. This path eventually led me to become a proud American citizen. My resilience and ambition are not just personal; they\'re my promise to build a better future for my family back home. For over a decade, I\'ve had the privilege of shaping physical spaces for people and communities, from multi-million dollar projects to large-scale urban resilience initiatives. In this work, I was not just an architect; I was a product manager, a community advocate, and a user-centered designer. I learned to lead diverse teams, manage complex projects, and advocate for user needs with empathy, grit, and a strategic mind. Now, my path is taking a fascinating turn into the world of tech. I’m immersing myself in the art of full-stack development, mastering the MERN stack and other innovative tools. My passion for beautiful, impactful design drives me to learn the language of tech to create solutions on an even wider scale. What truly sets me apart is this fusion of a designer’s soul, an architect’s strategic mind, and a relentless drive to innovate. I thrive on connecting with people and ideas, whether it’s through public speaking or networking at industry events, always seeking to connect with brilliant minds and positive energy.
