As a staff dev, my focus beyond code contributions is primarily around working with Product and Design to architect new systems and extend old ones, mentorship, and interviewing.I\'ve built frontend across admin, checkout, storefronts, apps, the online store editor, and payment wallets; and backend across storefronts and admin. We are a platform company and much of our work focuses on designing great APIs, since most are available to both internal and external developers; I\'ve designed and shipped dozens of GraphQL, AJAX, and Liquid APIs across Admin, Storefront, and Checkout. I\'ve also had the opportunity to contribute to Shopify\'s open source repos, including https://github.com/Shopify/dawn, https://github.com/Shopify/polaris, https://github.com/Shopify/quilt. For specific project work, I\'ve lead or contributed to a number of new core platform features, including- Reimagining the Collections vertical- Migrating the storefront platform towards supporting variants per product- Building support for \"combined listings\", a way to stitch together multiple products into a single product listing- Evolving the system design engineering interview process- Making the SEO platform 10x simpler for liquid storefronts- Product bundles, a way to sell a group of a products- Discounts, where along with modernizing the UI, I built a component repo to help our partners easily create discount apps;>2k weekly downloads on NPM: Built out the initial experience for Catalogs, launching B2B on Shopify

The massive ecosystem scope and the speed of evolution make it such a fun space.Key focuses for me are technical architecture, UX/Product focused development, API design, mentorship, and shipping a lot of code. Lately, my work has been mostly in JS, TS, React, Liquid, and Ruby.
