About Larry Keane
I was the type of person that disassembled my dad’s lawn mower to see how it worked so it’s no surprise that I ended up in manufacturing. I like the idea of playing a part in physical products coming off the line or rolling out of a hangar. I’ve been to over 100 manufacturing plants and have seen things done a thousand ways, some successful and some not. With that knowledge, I’ve been able to lead teams through development of creative solutions that solve their most pressing problems. Whether turning operations around through business process transformation, enhancing efficiencies through Lean Six Sigma methods, or improving a manufacturing network; my approach is collaborative. I love a challenge and really enjoy working with others to achieve a common goal. I’ve learned that much of my success can be attributed to my willingness to mentor and my ability to create environments where everyone wins as that’s how the entire team wins. I also understand the importance of strengthening ties with people across levels, from the CEO to floor techs. A few accomplishments I’m proud to highlight: Improved shop floor efficiency 10%, reducing direct labor costs within an inject molding company’s distribution center. Identified $800M in product savings and 10% savings in final assembly costs through a complexity reduction initiative at an automotive OEM.Positioned Sikorsky Global Helicopter to meet customer commitments for $1B in aircraft delivery.Managed a new application pilot at PepsiCo that was later implemented for bottlers in 92 countries. Outside of work, my interests are diverse and include coaching my son’s lacrosse and basketball teams, volunteering as referee for our local church basketball league, gardening, and hay ride driving and narrating.
