About Larry Karpack

In January 2011 I co-founded Watershed Science & Engineering with the goal of providing exceptional technical service in water resources engineering, and doing so in a way that recognized and served the unique needs of each of our clients. My hope is to use my 30 years of professional experience in hydrology and hydraulics to assist clients with implementation of creative and effective solutions to challenging river and stream related problems. My knowledge of fundamental hydrologic processes and experience in the application of sophisticated hydrologic and hydraulic models provides me with unique skills to accomplish this goal. At WSE I manage complex flood and erosion hazard reduction projects, reservoir operation studies, and large hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic investigations.Prior to embarking on my professional career I spent 3 years in Zaire, Africa (now Democratic Republic of Congo) building houses with Habitat for Humanity.Specialties: Hydrologic modeling and analysis, hydraulic engineering, river engineering, floodplain management, reservoir operations
