About Larry Simkins
As President and CEO, Mr. Simkins provided leadership and direction to the Washington Companies and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the individual companies for 21 years. The Washington Companies are an international group of privately-owned companies that transacted business in the areas of rail transportation, marine transportation, mining, environmental construction, heavy equipment sales, and aviation products. Since first joining the Washington Companies in 1988, Mr. Simkins was involved with a number of the Companies including Envirocon, Washington Construction Group, Kasler Corporation, and Westran. Mr. Simkins serves as a Director of Atlas Corp (Formerly NYSE: ATCO), Lowe\'s (NYSE: LOW), Scouting America and is a Trustee at Gonzaga University. He is a former Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and has been awarded the Distinguished Eagle Scout.
