Project Director responsible for design and construction activities for the $4.2MM USD Fill Finish Expansion (FFEx) greenfield project in Clayton, NC. Also created and initially managed the Production Support organization for the project which includes Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHS & S), Utilities Engineering and Operations, Metrology, and Asset Management teams.Senior Leadership Team member responsible for initial site master planning, design, zoning and permitting, construction sequencing for all buildings and site infrastructure, in support of the overall project and global program. Established and managed the overall zoning and permitting process including significant environmental permitting for impacts to both onsite wetlands and riparian features. Lead discussions with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NC Department of Water Resources, Johnston County, Town of Clayton and other local, state and federal agencies on a regular basis to ensure technical compliance and timely issuance of all required permits.Manage and coordinate external design firms for engineering, architecture, structural and civil activities to ensure compliance to overall program goals and rapid development of the overall site. Key participant in site master plan development and finalization. Established early scheduling effort including the creation of a Program Master Schedule along with schedule standards and a Basis of Schedule document. Provided critical leadership for all clean and black utilities for the project until that position could be filled. Interface regularly with the global core team and project leadership team for design meetings, coordination, and regular project communications. Lead design efforts to incorporate all Novo Nordisk Sustainability and Circular for Zero aspirations including challenging design limits for embodied carbon, significant onsite PV generation, rainwater harvesting, energy monitoring, etc.
