ABOUT LARRY DEMEO
A seasoned trial attorney with extensive experience handling high-stakes commercial and intellectual property litigation and complex disputes across multiple industries, including technology, medical devices, and financial services. As lead counsel and a key member of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s National Trial Team, I’ve demonstrated results-driven advocacy in court and strategic litigation leadership. Having gained trial experience through a criminal defense practice early in my career, I have applied the skill I learned to civil litigation, where I have led cases in Federal and State cases in jurisdictions from Massachusetts to California, including In re MSC Flaminia (major maritime casualty for a chemical company accused of responsibility for an explosion and fire aboard a cargo ship, which included commercial contract, tort, and environmental claims), Moog, Inc. v. ClearMotion, Inc, a trade secret and joint venture dispute, William Raveis Mortgage, LLC v. Fickeison (trade secret and restrictive covenant matter), and where I managed multi-jurisdictional and international discovery, depositions, and trial strategy. In the Flaminia matter, my role extended from trial to appellate advocacy, fact and expert examinations and cross-examinations, and delivering opening and closing arguments in the Southern District of New York. Additional experience includes arbitration for KOVA v. Sabin and co-lead trial in CSD 2-3 v. City of San Jose and trial counsel for Spotlight Ticket Management, Inc. v. StubHub, Inc, both involving complex and commercial litigation issues. My IP practice has included both pre-trial litigation and Markman practice, as well as fact and expert examination at trial. I have been recognized by IAM Patent I am a dedicated advocate and mentor, contributing to the legal community as a member of ProVisors’ New England Region, supporting strategic networking and professional development.
