This position is responsible for planning and implementing strategies developed with the Director of National Education Programs that enhance NAMI’s visibility and cultivates the brand of NAMI Peer-to-Peer and other initiatives supporting people experiencing mental health conditions. Duties and Responsibilities include: • Maintain and improve existing programs and supporting resources through targeted technical assistance procedures and models; • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure program is consistently being promoted and support best practices and standards in the field; • Assess program data to provide directed support to field leaders; • Manage day-to-day relationships, resources, communications and products to ensure quality and timely operations; • Manage deliverables for grant funded projects to include reports and providing support and assistance to NAMI leaders; • Provide program training for leaders and key stakeholders; • Collaborate with department team to oversee the content, staffing and attendees of a national training event; • Develop and deliver programming for the NAMI national convention; • Assist with building and strengthening strategic partnerships.

Working closely with and under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Senior Program Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic oversight and technical expertise for The Reunion Project (TRP). The Senior Program Coordinator participates in and leads key programmatic activities such as setting program goals and priorities, implementing program strategies, evaluating program outcomes, and ensuring full integration of activities. In addition- participates in grant prospective research, grant writing, and reporting to help grow and diversify programs and expand the reach of TRP- prepares reports and correspondence for program activities- develops, implements, and assesses information dissemination and outreach strategies/activities for program promotion and education- ensures outreach activities are comprehensive, timely, and coordinated- assists with developing strategies to identify best practices and resources for persons aging with HIV and AIDS; and- serves as a liaison for technical and content expertise specific to HIV and aging.
