Currently working on a new Dev Ops initiative in which we are moving toward CI/CD. Most code is deployed by some automated script or manually but we are in the process of incorporating new procedures in which once Dev has checked in a piece of code if it passes the test criteria that is in place it will automatically be deployed for testing in the lower region. The tool that has been chosen for now is Azure. We initially were going to use Jenkins. Completed and received the AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamental certification. • Maintain, support and build (deploy code) into the Dev/QA environments for testing purposes on different platforms. Also on a production bridge when the code actually goes live in production. Since we actually performed the deployment into the lower region. The deployments also consists of working with outside vendors. They will usually provide the new version and answer any questions that might arise during the deployment. For most part they will give us a location in which we will retrieve the new version / code for installation. • Use a couple of ticketing systems ( ServiceNow and JIRA) in order to request items like Firewall request, access to certain servers and new user ID\'s. JIRA is mainly used for environmental issues. To research something that was working in the environment prior and is now no longer working for unknown reasons. • Support Dev/QA request to install emergency fixes or hot fixes. This usually occurs when there is a blockage in testing and a fix is needed to correct the issue and cannot wait the normal SLA\'s. • We use SPLUNK as a monitoring tool. Alerts are created for error messages, Disk usage and lost connection.
