As a very hard working and enthusiastic professional, I am currently looking for a position which would give me the opportunity for further development in my recent career change. Up until December 2020, I was working in the events and hospitality sector as a Senior Sales and Events Executive but was looking to follow my passion in social care and gain a further insight in to the field. During my time furloughed within the hospitality sector, I was able to gain valuable experience within Phoenix Futures Family Service as a sessional worker. Starting a sessional position solidified my decision that I wanted to work with people suffering from substance misuse and mental health diagnoses. I threw myself in to the position and applied an open-minded, professional approach in order to gain the best experience I could, whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries. This provided me with the opportunity to become a Therapeutic Worker on a fixed term 6 month contract within the service after just 4 months of being employed part time.
