ABOUT LARISA LITVINOV
I am a child psychologist with a passion for training and supervising psychologists and other metal health professionals. I am currently licensed in California and New York. My first love and specialty has been in providing excellent care to foster and adopted youth and their families. I have worked with children from 0-21 years of age diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and ADHD. Because of early trauma histories, the work involves looking beyond the diagnoses and using the adoption, trauma, biological, and developmental lenses to understand and help our children and their families. I have worked to integrate trauma-specific, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, and family system interventions to guide people through the healing process so that families can grow and thrive. For over 10 years, I have been the clinical training director where I have trained and supervised postdoctoral fellows, practicum students, and clinical staff. As part of the UCLA Clinical Faculty, I have been part of training and supervising through the APA-Accredited Harbor-UCLA Department of Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship. I enjoy training and supervising the next generation of psychologists and social workers in psychotherapy, parent consultation, and parent education. I have expertise in training and supervising psychologists in pediatric psychological assessments including neuropsychological screeners and in developmental testing for children 0-3 years of age I am endorsed in California as an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist & Reflective Practitioner. I am a UC-Davis certified PCIT therapist and trainer. I have trained and helped to certify 12 clinicians (psychologists and social workers) in PCIT over the last decade. I have presented on the areas above to clinicians, parents, and trainees across the Greater Los Angeles area. I have provided didactics to Harbor-UCLA trainees and have conducted presentations at national conferences.
