About Lara Pes
I am a Sustainability Manager with a background in scientific research. I worked for 9 years internationally in the biopharmaceutical industry and academia performing research, analyzing data, and tackling waste and resource management issues, and promoting a circular economy. My goal has always been to find solutions to the challenges facing society. My focus has now shifted from curing life-threatening diseases to solving environmental issues. My goal is now to help Weill Cornell Medicine to reduce its environmental impact through better resource and waste management, and greenhouse gas emissions and pollution reduction. I hold numerous professional certifications including Sustainability Management & Policy, and TRUE Advisor. I am experienced in managing simultaneous cross-functional projects and communicating the results to different audiences and stakeholders.
