About Lara Erik
I’m an IT intern who keeps endpoints running smoothly during the day and an M.S. Electrical Engineering candidate at NJIT by night, modeling renewable smart grid and smart city systems. My toolkit includes Python, C/C++, JavaScript, SQL, PSCAD, MATLAB, and Cisco networking, and I pick up new tools fast. Recent wins include automating reports with Python REST calls and working on research that explores how inverter-based resources can reinforce urban micro-grids. I’ve also helped run a successful e-commerce side venture, so I’m comfortable translating tech jargon into clear action plans for non-technical teams. My goal is simple: use secure, scalable technologies to accelerate the transition to smarter cities with reliable tech.
