ABOUT LARA BOYKO
As a Certified Public Health Inspector, CPHI(C), and Public Health graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), I seek to utilize my passion for Public Health to make beneficial contributions that will enhance the well-being for all communities. Throughout my professional and academic experiences, I have respectfully communicated with the public, business owners, agencies, and management, while confidentially displaying values of integrity, responsibility, recognition, and well-being. I display knowledge and professional application of Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and regulations, including the Ontario Public Health Standards, Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), Smoke Free Ontario Act (SFOA), Safe Drinking Water Act, and Provincial Offences Act. I utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills when providing education to owners and operators on strategies to reduce and prevent the spread of illness, injury, and disease to the public. Additionally, I apply exceptional evaluation and analytical skills when conducting on-site inspections at various fixed premises, including food establishments, personal service settings, small drinking water systems, tobacco and electronic cigarette retailers, and recreational water facilities, to ensure owners and operators are compliant in meeting the minimum requirements outlined under all applicable legislation. Throughout my career, I will continually strive to deliver services and programs that will improve the health and well-being for all communities.
