About Lara Bonner Millar

I am a board-certified physician with more than ten years of experience in clinical radiation oncology as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. I hold multiple active clinical and administrative leadership positions. I have additional fellowship training and board certification in Integrative Medicine. My academic responsibilities include clinical trial review, lectureships, and medical student education. I am also experienced in medical writing. I am known for creative problem solving, thinking ahead, and team-building as the medical director of Obici Hospital Radiation Oncology. I received my medical degree, cum laude, and induction into the AOA Medical Honor Society from the University of Maryland and completed my training in Radiation Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. I was in full time clinical practice when I recognized additional fellowship training in Integrative Medicine would help me provide a more \"whole person\" approach to patient care and healing. I have used that training to lead the Carillo Kern Center for Integrative Therapies, where I currently serve as medical director.
