ABOUT LARA LEIBEL

Welcome to my LinkedIn page! In 2015 I obtained my Recreation & Tourism Management diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and I quickly started working in the events industry as a Coordinator. After nearly 5 years, I’m forever grateful to have made many new connections, and gained lifelong skills in project and budget management, stakeholder engagement, leadership, and team building to name a few. Although I enjoyed the work, I couldn’t help but feel like there was a different industry out there meant for me. One where all the teams were making a meaningful impact in the lives of the people of Saskatchewan on a daily basis. Cue my entrance into the field of healthcare! Starting as an Administrative Assistant in 2019 for wonderful Directors, I built foundational knowledge of the Saskatchewan healthcare system including System Flow, Surgical Services, Ambulatory Care, and Acute Care. Looking for opportunities to enhance my skills, I started working for the SHA\'s Enterprise Risk Management - Insurance Services team in 2021 as the Insurance Associate. In this role I have had the opportunity to learn about Insurance and Claims Management, Clinical Risk, and ERM. To enhance my personal and professional skills in the areas of leadership, risk management, communication, and finance, I have recently completed the Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Bachelor of Applied Management with Distinction.
