Hi there! I’m so glad you have visited my page!My name is LaQuisha Persak and I’m the Recruiting & University Relations Manager for Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs (THF). The firm has offices located in Tallahassee, Tampa, and Panama City, Florida. In my role at THF, I work closely with universities within the region to identify and recruit rising talent in the field of accountancy for opportunities within our firm. Additionally, I work closely with experienced accounting professionals and CPAs who are seeking career opportunities in one of our three office locations.Now, a little more about me. My passion to see students achieve their professional and personal goals began several years ago at Florida State University. It was there that I served as a Recruiter, Senior Admissions Officer, and eventually promoted to Assistant Director within the Office of Admissions. For several years my roles in higher education afforded me the opportunity to work with diverse student populations from across the state, while recruiting for one of Florida\'s top public universities. Additionally, I further advanced my supervisory and leadership skills by training and mentoring new admission officers on recruiting best practices and the university admissions process. My experience included working collaboratively across university departments with both academic and student affairs, while advocating successfully on behalf of student interests.I also have nearly 10 years of legislative experience and have worked closely with Florida’s elected state legislators and executive staff. My positions have included trusted roles with oversight in communications, legislative affairs, administration, public records, staff training and professional development, and various responsibilities contributing to my overall institutional knowledge of the legislative process. I enjoyed working with constituents from all over the state of Florida and actively engaging on various issues important to our state.In all of my roles, working with people from all walks of life has brought me the greatest joy, and I am committed to lifelong learning in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. This is why giving back to my local community through volunteerism, service, outreach, and engagement is something that I truly value both inside and outside of work. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, going to the movies, listening to music, and mentoring young professionals.
