I am a People Leader whose mantra is “leave people better than how they are found”. My mission every day is to empower and encourage people by providing them with the tools and resources needed to be successful.I have been given the opportunity to develop several company’s human capital, which increases customer engagement and service therefore driving increased profits.As a child, I dreamt of a career as a teacher, I was surrounded by amazing teachers like my mother and aunt. As I reflect, many of the people who had an impact on my life were teachers.My career path, however, took me on a different journey from the K-12 teacher I thought I would become, I found my path teaching – in retail. I have been blessed to work at a big box retailer that revolutionized retail, built brand loyalty, and helped shape e-commerce as we know it, as well as be privileged to work at the leading and fastest growing off-price retailers in the U.S, and honored to work at one of the largest Behavioral Healthcare providers committed to people, passion, and service. I worked hand in hand building careers, businesses, and culture with people every day – often watching people blossom into their potential.Each of these roles has provided me with the opportunity to empower, coach, mentor, train anddevelop others as they seek to join the workforce and grow their careers.You know what, I AM a teacher after all!I am passionate about people, I am also determined to use the skills that I have learned from my roles to be the change agent, the talent developer, the culture ambassador, the master facilitator, the problem-solver, the designer of learning programs, the liaison who will implement and analyze business strategies and collaborate effectively with business partners. I will do all this and more because that is what a teacher does.Currently, I am partnering with two other women to launch a youth mentoring program named “undercover G.I.R.L.S.”, that targets young girls aged 10-16. Our goal: Empower young ladies with skills, confidence, sisterhood, and passion needed to take healthy risks and be successful in their personal and professional life, building blocks for success.I am proud to live and work in my passion as a mentor, personal cheerleader, and talent developer to support the career and personal goals and objectives of individuals and businesses.
