About Lanie Sharinn
Hello, I am a Business Management major at the Kelley School of Business. Through my degree I hope to find a career that showcases my communication and leadership skills. Throughout my career I thoroughly enjoyed participating in clubs and sports. A few passions of mine include Cross Country and Track & Field. Being that both Track & Field and Cross Country are more independent sports, they both helped me to showcase my passion for Independent work as I enjoy being in control of my outcomes. I also enjoy participating in various clubs. Throughout my academic career, I was able to take part in Animal Rescue Club which showcased my love for animals and helping others. I also participated in Tournament Debate as well as French club, where I got to visit Quebec and take a dive into numerous cultures and traditions. Studying abroad is a big interest of mine since learning about different lifestyles and traditions is something I hope to pursue. Helping others and challenging myself to learn about new cultures is something I am very passionate about and hope to continue throughout the rest of my career. Participating in clubs such as the SWWAT Club, enabled me to both help and educate those around me about dangers in society today. I did this by speaking in front of young children to help them understand the dangers of drugs, and to help guide others down the right path. I believe that my education at the Kelley School of Business will continue to prepare me to be an overachiever in the workforce as well as improve my overall communication skills outside of the business world.
