As director of the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry (IGAC) Project, I coordinate and facilitate international collaboration, community, and capacity building to advance atmospheric chemistry towards a sustainable world. I manage the IGAC IPO on a day-to-day basis under the long-term guidance of the Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) to determine the mission, vision, goals, and priorities of IGAC and then design and execute short- and long-term strategies to achieve them.I secure and manage funds for the IGAC International Project Office and specific IGAC-sponsored events.Initiate new scientific and networking activities in collaboration with other members of the international atmospheric chemistry community to implement IGAC’s mission.I oversee scientific and networking activities to ensure they are achieving IGAC’s mission and meeting the requirements set forth by the SSC.I prioritize, organize, facilitate, and/or lead IGAC sponsored/endorsed workshops, meetings, and conferences, including the annual IGAC SSC Meeting and the biennial IGAC Science Conference.I develop and implement a branding and communications strategy to improve participation in IGAC and increase the visibility of atmospheric chemistry research to the broader global environmental change and sustainability community.I function as the liaison between the international atmospheric chemistry community and the larger global environmental change and sustainability community by building relationships with relevant policy and stakeholder communities and representing IGAC at national and international meetings, workshops, and conferences.
