Mr. Lance S. Perry, PE, CPE, EAC, serves as a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer through the Texas State Board of Professional Engineers, a Certified Professional Ergonomist accredited by the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics, and a Certified Environmental Risk Consultant. Mr. Perry earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University and pursued graduate studies at both Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Arlington.Mr. Perry specializes in the development of performance improvement programs aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and business outcomes. He has authored more than 30 articles and technical studies across engineering, safety and health, and business disciplines, in addition to writing 10 books focused on performance, management, and engineering. With over three decades of experience spanning aerospace, manufacturing, warehousing, construction, and service industries, he brings a deep and practical understanding of both engineering principles and business operations.Throughout his career, Mr. Perry has designed and delivered advanced corporate programs and initiatives, including Lean methodologies, 5S, continuous improvement systems, statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and comprehensive risk reduction and performance strategies. He is also the creator of Recalibrating Your Eyes, an innovative work design improvement process.Mr. Perry has appeared live on CNBC’s Street Signs as a subject matter expert in workplace design. Mr. Perry leads engineering program activities which are directly embedded with SNL business goals and objectives. He directs and leads a high-quality corporate engineering program and drives the performance of high-quality, technically-sound results. Efforts include manufacturing, warehousing, construction, transportation, research and development, and support areas. He directs efforts across multiple sites - Sandia NM, Sandia CA, Tonopah Test Range, Kauai Launch Complex, and other Department of Energy/Department of Defense locations in six states.Mr. Perry is routinely involved with operational and workplace assessments over a wide variety of work environments and activities. Responsible for opportunity identification, data collection, interpretation and analyzes of findings, and implementation of control strategies to mitigate critical risks and improve operations. Develop and improve corporate specifications, standards, and procedures. Write and publish technical reports, develop education and training materials, and publish technical articles. Collaborate with multiple disciplines and other highly trained professionals to ensure effective mission critical evaluations and controls.
