About Lance Gorée
At a young age my father shared a quote by Dee Hock with me, “If you don’t understand that you work FOR your mislabeled ’subordinates ’ then you know nothing of leadership. You know only tyranny”. I have adopted this quote and expanded it to include not just mislabeled subordinates, but the company/teams I work alongside. My teams have met or exceeded financial, service and hospitality goals through our diligent focus on preparation, professional and personal. If you haven’t prepared today to be on time tomorrow, then you probably won’t. My emotional intelligence helps me value the importance an inclusive culture plays in benefiting the company, staff and the ultimate end user. I have been able to create longstanding programs showcasing my visionary creativity. I constructed cultures that influenced and developed staffs to want and be able to accept increased responsibility. The comfort to delegate truly allows creative juices to flow. I plan each day to be a project focused on growth. I end each day by preparing a From The Heart meal for my beautiful wife and amazing young son. Their happiness and love is what motivates me.
