I have always been interested in technological improvements and have spent my career as well as my personal time studying them, trying them, sharing them and writing about them. I adopt early. I try things. I try to find what works and what does not and implementing what works best for stakeholders.With this in mind, it makes sense that I’ve spent over 20 years in and around technology projects. I’ve worked in various technology roles as a developer, database administrator, in network and desktop administration, but mostly as a Project Manager and then as a Quality Assurance Manager. In these roles, I’ve also managed progressively larger teams and as a manager, I enjoy helping my team along their desired career path. This could be by improving their current skills or by building toward the next opportunity. I have a background in directing and driving large-scale projects, developing comprehensive project plans and deadlines, creating teams of Subject Matter Experts, and working with internal IT stakeholders to minimize project risk. I also have experience leading improvements to internal practices including managing the transition to Agile methodologies, implementing Six Sigma practices, and modernizing & automating quality assurance practices. I have a proven track record leading global teams that have delivered projects on time and on budget.
