About Lance Lindsay

Academic Scholar in the making with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, customer service, event planning and management. Skilled in Qualitative Analysis, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Repair (Windows), Office 365 suite, and have an entry level understanding of open source intelligence reporting methods. Strong support professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Political Science and Government with a minor in philosophy from DePaul University. Previously attended Michigan State University - School of Criminal Justice (Masters of Science program) with a focus on Counter-Terrorism, National Security, serious Transnational Crime as well as Law Enforcement Intelligence Operations and Methodology. The shorthand of my studies is Intelligence-Led Policing to Counter Violent Extremism.Currently at John Jay, CUNY - my research agenda aspires to cover: Domestic Far-Right Extremists risk factors (adverse childhood events, vicarious victimization, victimization, preparatory behaviors and suspicious activities and ideological influences) as the reference group to all other Extremists. I am interested in risk and protective factors of former extremists which can inform deradicalization and counter radicalization efforts and programs. Finally I will also look into the impacts of victimization and the services provided or needed for victims of hate and bias crime. One final research area is regarding Officer Involved Shootings and the policy impacts of Stand Your Ground, this research includes Interrupted Time Series analysis which can establish causality - but further more is an entryway to policy analysis regarding criminal justice in general.I am affiliated with InterportPolice Fred Morrone 9/11 Center for Counter Terrorism research, education and training. My intention is to bridge the gap between academia, law enforcement, intelligence, and policy makers - to reduce crime within society.
