Lanaya Lewis is a seasoned journalist and publicist with a passion for storytelling and community impact. Lanaya\'s on-camera reporting from 2017 to 2021 covered major stories like the historic change of the Mississippi state flag and the inhumane conditions at Parchman Prison, earning recognition in The Washington Post, Essence, CBSN, A&E’s Exposing Parchman documentary, and the ID Channel’s American Detective series. After experiencing personal loss in 2021, she transitioned into communications, leveraging her expertise to elevate California State University, Sacramento’s visibility and helped launch the nation’s first Black Honors College and National Association of Black Journalists Sacramento chapter. Her devotion to community helped her be named one of Comstock’s Magazine 2024 Young Professional of the Year and a 2024 Exceptional Woman of the Year Honoree. Lanaya is mother to her angel baby Kameron and rainbow baby Kayden, and owner of Noremak Media Consulting.
