I provide support to adoptive parents who have adopted children from the iowa Department of Human Services and recieve an Iowa Adoption Subsidy. Along with providing Post Adoption Support to adoptive family, I am now the statewide Coordinator for Training for Adoption Competency (TAC). TAC is a competency-based training program developed to provide mental health professions with the clinical skills they need to provide adoption competent services. TAC training is delivered over 12 months and includes 78 hours of intensive training with 6 months of clinical case consultation.
