About Lamya Green

I am a 22-year-old student at Louisiana State University with a strong passion for the sports and recreation industry. I began my college journey at The Ohio State University in Fall 2022 and have continued my education at LSU since Fall 2025, where I remain actively involved in campus recreation and leadership initiatives.My experience includes officiating basketball at the intramural, adult recreational, and high school levels, as well as ranking top 10 in my region for flag football officiating. I currently serve on LSU’s Referee Committee, where I officiate, supervise, and support recreational sports programs.In addition to my involvement in recreational sports, I work with Aramark as an Alcohol Compliance Lead and Recruitment Coordinator. In my role as Recruitment Coordinator, I organize and promote recruitment events, coordinate staffing for outreach initiatives, and assign staff to events and tasks that increase Aramark’s visibility and presence on campus and in the community. I also assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and daily operational support to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance.I am also involved with ULead, a leadership-focused student organization dedicated to professional development and community engagement.Through my academic, professional, and extracurricular experiences, I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills. I aspire to build a career in recreational and sports programs, with long-term goals of contributing to professional organizations such as the NBA, NFL, or other major sports leagues. I am committed to creating positive, inclusive, and professional experiences for all participants while bringing dedication and passion to every role I take on.
