ABOUT GEOFF LAMBERT
With nearly two decades of leadership experience across finance and energy, I currently serve as Vice President and Treasurer at MN8 Energy, where I leverage deep expertise in deal structuring, capital markets, and transaction execution to finance MN8’s growing portfolio of solar, storage, and EV charging infrastructure assets.Previously, I held executive roles at NextEra Energy, where I led cross-functional deal teams in the acquisition and development of large-scale infrastructure assets, including natural gas, transmission, and water/wastewater projects. Before NextEra, I spent eight years at The Anschutz Corporation, where I helped advance one of the most ambitious privately funded infrastructure portfolios in the United States — including a 4 GW Wyoming Wind Project, a 700+ mile HVDC transmission line from Wyoming to Las Vegas, and a 900 MW combined-cycle gas plant designed for resource adequacy and ancillary services.I began my career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan with the Natural Resources group. During the financial crisis, I had the opportunity to work alongside renowned utility analyst Greg Gordon, gaining a deep understanding of the regulated utility sector. I later joined Morgan Stanley, where I covered merchant generation (coal and gas) and renewables (wind) — an experience that inspired my transition into principal-side development and investment.I consider myself a technology-agnostic practitioner of energy, passionate about financing and building the steel in the ground that powers our nation.Prior to my career in finance, I had the honor of serving as a Naval Aviator in the United States Navy, where I flew the EA-6B Prowler enforcing the Northern No-Fly Zone and conducting combat missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
