Since our inception in 1947, we have won multitudes of victories for students using this exact model. Most notably, USSA was integral in the creation of the Pell Grant, which now helps 9 million students across the country afford their higher education and ultimately their dreams. Our power as students comes from being an organized force that holds our nation’s leaders accountable. By mobilizing and uniting a powerful grassroots force of students all over the country, we build our power and win concrete victories.
