ABOUT LAMAR HOWARD
As a member of Command Staff, serving in the rank of Captain, responsibilities include: Planning, managing and reviewing the activities of all personnel assigned to a division or patrol district of the Baltimore Police Department. • Supervising a large staff of sworn and or civilian personnel primarily through subordinate managers and supervisors. • Identifying, recommending and executing comprehensive goals to achieve effective and or impactful results for the agency, patrol division or district command. • Developing and implementing operational initiatives that ensures various functions of command are operating at a high level and within the policies, procedures and directives of the Police Commissioner and the Baltimore Police Department. • Establishing personnel goals and conducting evaluations to ensure all employees are performing at an optimal level. • Provides strategic guidance and support departmental leadership to include Executive Command Staff. • Accountable for the Central District’s Patrol Operations of three patrol shifts and for 6 Patrol Lieutenants, 18 Patrol Sergeants and approximately 100 Patrol Officers.
