In the past two years, she has interviewed Egypt\'s Defense Minister General Abdel Fatah al-Sissi, Israel\'s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Australia\'s then-Prime Ministe Julia Gillard, Singapore\'s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Turkey’s Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, Greece\'s Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, Mexico\'s President Enrique Pena Nieto, Hungary\'s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Myanmar\'s President Thein Sein, and Iran\'s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, among others. Lally Weymouth formerly served as Contributing Editor of the Los Angeles Times, specializing in world leader interviews from President Assad of Syria to Saddam Hussein, and served as a freelance writer for New York Magazine, Esquire and others. In 1976, Lally Weymouth authored America in 1876: The Way We Were, published by Random House. Lally Weymouth graduated from Radcliffe College with honors. She currently serves as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York.
