ABOUT LALITHA VIJAYAKRISHNAN

Lalitha is a trained immunologist with over 25 years of pharmacology and integrated drug discovery experience in autoimmune disorders, inflammation and cancer. She was most recently Section Head (In vitro Pharmacology, Discovery Services) at Syngene International. Prior to that Lalitha established the Genomics and Translational Sciences business unit at Syngene International, that provided immuno-oncology and translational services. Her team collaborated with major pharma companies like Janssen, GSK and Merck for establishing preclinical proof-of-concept for next-generation antibody therapeutics including engineered mAbs, nanobodies, bispecifics, ADCs as well as cell therapies such as CAR-Ts. From 2005 – 2017, Dr. Lalitha served as Assistant Director at the Daiichi Sankyo Life Science Research Center where she led a department focused on discovery of innovative small molecule therapies for oncology and autoimmunity. Dr. Vijayakrishnan completed her postdoctoral training from Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston, MA, USA) where she worked on elucidating mechanisms of genetic susceptibility to autoimmune disorders. Lalitha has a PhD in Immunology from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB, New Delhi, India) and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (New Delhi, India). She has authored multiple publications in peer reviewed journals and is co-inventor on several patents.Skilled in Cell Culture, Pharmacology, and Cancer Immunotherapy. Strong business development professional graduated from Faculty of Management Studies - University of Delhi.
