As the head of the Technology Center at Schlumberger-Doll Research (SDR), my role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers dedicated to developing state-of-the-art technologies for the energy sector. My career spans over 26 years in managing technology R&D, where I have consistently contributed to innovation, intellectual property, and technological advancement that fuels business expansion and meets industry demands. My work includes setting strategic scientific directions and laying out technology roadmaps, forging partnerships with other tech entities, as well as driving the digital transformation in research through modern tools like machine learning and artificial intelligence. Additionally, I focus on contributing to the energy transition through projects like carbon geological storage and decarbonization technologies.Beyond managing SDR, I offer guidance and expertise as a scientific advisor and subject matter expert in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) applied to geophysics. With over 25+ granted patents, 20+ patent applications, 50+ scientific publications in leading Journals and conferences, associate editor of Petrophysics-NMR and recipient of the 2021 SPWLA Distinguished Technical Achievement Award, I regularly share my knowledge through guest lectures worldwide. I hold board memberships with international bodies like the Institute of Math and its Applications and the SIAM Industry Committee, reinforcing my commitment to the scientific community.
