ABOUT LALITA HAMILL
Lalita (she/her) is a psychotherapist at Crossroads Collective in Langley, BC. Visit https://crossroadscollective.ca for more information or to book an appointment. Visit for more information.Prior to her Masters, Lalita was, and still is, a professional artist, teacher, mentor, and facilitator for over twenty years. She discovered her artistic abilities as a young adult during the final year of her Philosophy degree. Subsequent years of drawing led to four years of study at the Vancouver Academy of Art, where she received instruction by classically trained painters. It was not until her former husband was seriously injured in a car accident in 2003 that Lalita decided to leave her career as an aquatics manager to become a professional visual artist. She is a Signature member and instructor of the Federation of Canadian artists, and created the curriculum for the Foundations Program. As an artist, Lalita specializes in figures and portraits in oil, though she is well versed in acrylics, watercolour, and drawing media.
