About Lakshya Agarwal

I didn\'t wait for a job to start building. I started with a terminal and curiosity.I\'m a 2nd-year Computer Science student who fell into open source during Hacktoberfest 2024 — and never left. What began as a challenge to submit a few pull requests turned into 13 merged PRs across multiple repositories. That month rewired how I think about code: not as assignments, but as contributions that real people depend on.In 2025, I took it further. I collaborated with a Nigerian startup to build a demo remittance application using React and Express — my first taste of shipping product-level code for real users across borders. Alongside that, I contributed to a game development project, expanding my understanding of how software works beyond web apps.On campus, I lead from the front. As Interim Technical Head of Codex SIT, I drive technical initiatives and peer learning. As Cloud Co-Head of our ACM Student Chapter, I\'m building hands-on exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native tooling (including k8sgpt) for myself and my peers. I also serve on the Core Team of our ARVR club, staying close to emerging tech.My toolkit spans C, C++, Java, Python, and Go — and I\'m actively building projects across web development, databases, and machine learning fundamentals.What I\'m working toward: contributing to a meaningful open-source organization through GSoC, deepening my cloud-native skills, and becoming the kind of engineer who ships code that matters — early and often.
