ABOUT LAKSHMI V.
I\'m a performance driven Mechanical Engineer, with a cumulative work experience of 8+ years in construction and automotive industry. I began my career as a simulation engineer, contributing to the development of exhaust gas treatment systems at Bosch. I was deeply involved throughout the product development process from design stage to series production. It was fascinating to learn through my experience that all the design principles and product development strategies ultimately focus on better energy management. This inspired me to take up the Sustainable Energy Management Advanced Certificate Program at BCIT, igniting my passion for building systems design. In my current role as a Mechanical Engineer in Training, I specialize in energy analysis and engineering design of commercial, institutional and residential projects. My responsibilities include managing engineering projects and overseeing sub-consultants, particularly in deep energy retrofit projects. I am also involved in conducting detailed energy audits to identify potential energy conservation projects. In institutional projects, I actively contribute to the development of tools and pathways for decarbonization. This involves creating strategic frameworks for larger institutions, assisting clients in securing funding, and achieving emission targets. The aim is to pave the way for sustainable practices and reduce carbon footprints effectively. Through careful equipment selection, my focus is on delivering that reduce emissions without comprising on occupant comfort and quality. By contributing towards better design solutions and energy management, my overarching goal is to make a positive impact on our planet. Having international working & living exposure, I am a flexible and adaptive person who enjoys working in a sustainable, innovative and challenging environment. I am keen in learning and sharing new concepts and ideas. If you have interesting thoughts to share, do connect with me.
