Operate within a 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), continuously monitoring and safeguarding against intrusion attempts. Perform real-time surveillance of network security devices such as IPS, firewalls, endpoint security systems, operating systems, and email security to correlate logs per client requirements and alert for any log stoppage. Utilize antivirus and other analysis tools to perform malware analysis and ensure complete malware eradication from client environments. Differentiate between false positives and actual intrusion attempts, aiding in remediation and prevention. Handle escalations and collaborate closely with stakeholders as needed. Document all actions taken during incident investigations meticulously. Collaborate with other teams to support the incident management process. Provide tuning and filtering recommendations to engineering teams. Support data requests from customers and other teams by analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Conduct research, analysis, and responses to alerts, including log retrieval and documentation. Monitor and perform secondary analysis of incidents. Investigate alerts in the SOC monitoring tool to identify abnormal behaviors, suspicious activities, and traffic anomalies. Analyze network traffic and host activity across diverse technologies and platforms. Assist in incident response activities, including host triage and retrieval, malware analysis, remote system analysis, end-user interviews, and remediation efforts.
