ABOUT LAKSHMI NIRANJANA
I am a researcher in ecology from India. I am currently working at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), a premier research institute in India, which is part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. I have recently finished my Master’s in Ecology with a specialisation in Ecological Informatics. I am a prospective PhD student and my research interests centre around how global change affects ecosystem functioning, particularly how climate change influences species responses, alters community dynamics, and drives ecological processes. I have research experience in India and internationally, with a strong foundation in ecological informatics and field-based studies across diverse ecosystems.I have experience in field-oriented ecosystem studies and data collection, and I am proficient in using R software, Python, and remote sensing tools for ecological data analysis. Furthermore, I have worked with international research teams, which has provided me with a broad perspective and valuable insights into global research practices.I am always happy to connect, discuss, learn, and share my insights!
