Hi, My name is Lakshmi Narayanan, call me Lakshmi or LN. I am 57 years old. I am married and have one daughter who is pursuing her master’s degree in computer science in USA. I am hailing from a city called Coimbatore which is in southern part of India. I am an energetic, dynamic and a friendly personality with an innovative approach to teaching and learning. I enjoy working in multi-cultural environment. I am creative thinker with a strong interest in co-curricular activities. I have a strong belief in creating global citizens with compassion and respect for all forms of life. About my educational background, I hold a master’s degree in science, and I am a graduate in education. I started my teaching carrier in 1990. Over 32 years of teaching experience in different international schools in different countries including India, Kenya, Indonesia, China, Thailand etc, I teach both IBO and Cambridge curriculum including AS & AL since 2006. I teach biology, General science for both IBO and Cambridge curriculum. I also teach ESS (Environmental Systems and societies) for IBDP students. Apart from teaching these subjects, I held other positions also such as CAS coordinator, EE supervisor, Personal project supervisor for MYP, subject coordinator, and heading the MYP moderation team for Biology subject. Throughout my teaching service, I consistently maintained excellent academic results in various external examinations and also I guided my students to get ‘Brilliance award’ i.e, regional topper in Cambridge examinations.
