About Laith Ulaby
I’m a UX and research leader with a PhD in Ethnomusicology from UCLA and over a decade of experience helping teams build thoughtful, human-centered products. My background combines deep qualitative research, design strategy, and cross-functional collaboration — shaped by fieldwork in over 25 countries and product work across companies like Google, Uber, Webflow, and early-stage startups. Lately, I have been advising early-stage startups and venture firms through freelance research and co-founding product-led ventures. In addition to product work, I teach at UC Berkeley’s School of Information and enjoy contributing to conversations at the intersection of technology, culture, and innovation.
