ABOUT LACY ELLIS

An accomplished academic leader and criminal justice professional with over 15 years of experience in higher education. I currently serve as the Dean of the School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences at Tiffin University, a small private university with a BIG reputation within the criminal justice field. My passion for criminal justice and gender equity is evident in my research publications, including my dissertation on \"Policemoms: Perceptions of Motherhood and Policy in Ohio Police Organizations.\" My professional background spans teaching, administration, law enforcement, and community service. I have taught a wide range of criminal justice courses and developed new programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. My professional certifications include the Federal Law Enforcement Analytical Training from the DEA Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and the Ohio Basic Peace Officer Training Academy. I have held roles such as Deputy, Patrolman, Death Investigator, Intelligence Specialist, and Undercover Narcotics Agent, underscoring my practical experience in the field. Through my passion for education and commitment to driving positive change, I strive to make a lasting impact in the realm of criminal justice by shaping the next generation of criminal justice professionals today and in the decades to come!
