Directing HR strategy and all HR functions including payroll for a nationally-recognized liberal arts college in the Greater Philadelphia area, with 155 years of rich history and a commitment to experiential learning and inclusivity. Strategy & Employee Relations: Cultivating an ongoing partnership with the President, SVP Provost, VPs, and President’s Cabinet to ensure HR’s inclusion and influence across the College within policies, procedures, longstanding programs and new initiatives. Demonstrating strong leadership, accountability and commitment to excellence despite pervasive challenges. Navigating high turnover, low morale and cultural changes across campus due to new organizational model and challenging conditions throughout higher education including lower student enrollment and disruptive EOs. Enhancing data metrics on turnover reports for more meaningful analysis and sustainable long-term improvement Participating in Middle States reaccreditation and working with the People Priorities Committee (Board of Trustees).Recruitment & Onboarding: Updating all new hire / onboarding communications and materials to ensure resource utilization and early success. Partnering with Senior Director of Inclusion & Belonging to expand initial onboarding and community engagement. Overseeing employment offers and onboarding for 70 new FT faculty & staff YTD, along with dozens of promotions or unscheduled salary increases, all advised by gathering internal equity and CUPA benchmarking among peers. Executing annual compliance training, including newly integrated module on microaggressions.Payroll: Supervising three distinct payroll cycles for exempt, non-exempt and student workers. On average, 400 full-time, 100 part-time and 400 student workers each year. Pioneering and optimizing (post-implementation) the College’s new system (integrated ATS and HCM and ERP).
