ABOUT L. TYLER SWANSON
As a licensed architect and landscape architect with a background in the arts, my work and interests center on the intersection of human experience and natural systems. For the past two decades, I have worked on complex and diverse projects from: the design for a historic landscape that balances the integration of security infrastructure with renewed public access; to plans for a nine-acre park over a freeway and tied into public transit; to the concept development for a series of constructed islands that will serve as a regional storm surge protection system while also providing equitable access to a dynamic bay environment. I lead multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with clients and experts to realize design solutions grounded in the realities of 21st century life.
