About Kyrollos Magharious

As an Assistant Principal at NYC Public Schools, I have been serving and leading students, teachers, and staff for over two years, with a focus on safety and special education supervision. I have a Master of Education degree in School Building and School District Leadership from Bank Street College of Education, and a Master of Science degree in Special Education and Teaching from Pace University. My mission is to emulate the servant leadership style of God portrayed in the person of Jesus Christ, and to empower those who are marginalized, neglected, or overlooked by providing them with the most powerful tool - knowledge. My motto of \"Never Dis Our Abilities\" reflects my culture of care and respect for the holistic needs of others, and my commitment to meet them where they are and build upwards together from there. As a former Unit Coordinator and School-Based Instructional Coach, I have developed and implemented effective strategies for curriculum, instruction, and assessment, as well as facilitated professional development and collaboration among educators. I am passionate about the most important part of my mission in tapping into the village it takes to educate children through the constant efforts of recruiting community partners to facilitate opportunities and open doors for students and provide resources according Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to improve the quality of education in my community.
